Coi Leray is hard at work promoting and gearing up for her next album <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/679023-coi-leray-sophormore-album-topless-photo-make-my-day-teaser" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">COI,</a> but her latest post left many basketball fans confused. Moreover, she posed with an NBA trophy ahead of the Finals, which begin on June 1 pitting the Denver Nuggets against whoever wins between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat (the series is currently 3-2 in the Heat&#8217;s favor). &#8220;Winnnnnerrrrr @nba&nbsp;x (CL),&#8221; she captioned her post with a bizarre set of hashtags.&nbsp;&#8220;#TeamCeltics&nbsp;#TeamLebron<a href="https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/wnbaforever/"> </a>#WNBAForever.&#8221; Given that <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/680315-lebron-james-could-retire" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">LeBron</a> and the Los Angeles Lakers <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/680511-lakers-nuggets-game-4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">lost against the Nuggets</a>, many are urging the rap star to catch up with the news.



Jokes aside, she clearly just wants to show her love and support to a legend despite the disappointing loss. Also, as a Boston native herself, it&#8217;s no surprise that Coi Leray&#8217;s rooting for her team to make a massive comeback, which is already halfway done. If the Celtics reverse a 3-0 deficit against the Heat, it would be a monumental moment. Still, the series is <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/682308-heat-celtics-game-5-twitter-reacts" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">far from over yet</a>, and the comments filled up with many skeptics of the Massachusetts team&#8217;s chances of winning.

While performing at Revolution Saturdays at REBEL in Toronto, she brought our a <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/679936-coi-leray-rocks-patent-leather-pants-to-accept-platinum-plaque" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">platinum plaque</a> for her single &#8220;<a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/651227-coi-leray-busta-rhymes-have-a-blast-on-players-dj-saige-remix-stream" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Players.&#8221;</a> The song, which flips the classic hip-hop track &#8220;The Message&#8221; by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, became one of her biggest tracks ever. With other sample-heavy tunes like &#8220;<a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/679430-coi-leray-twerking-bops-music-video-coming-soon" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bops</a>&#8221; and &#8220;Make My Day,&#8221; it seems like Coi Leray found a solid recipe for success that fits her style. Despite the confusion that this brought about, the trophy makes one thing clear: right now, no matter the hate, she&#8217;s winning.



Still, another post of hers also left fans with a head-scratcher, which was when she revealed the <a href="https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/680313-coi-leray-sophomore-album-tracklist-features-social-media-reacts" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">tracklist and features</a> for her upcoming album. Not only are <a href="/profile/DavidGuetta" class="text-word" target="_blank" >David Guetta</a> and Saucy Santana in the mix, but also Lola Brooke, Skillibeng, Giggs, and the one and only James Brown. Sure, there are some prominent rap names in there, but others have fans wondering what this project will sound like. We&#8217;ll have to wait and see how the hitmaker capitalizes on her hype.
